Portland Store Manager Named BMC Ambassador

Unless you're a big fan of pro cycling, glued to your TV each July, watching the Tour de France, most  Americans have never heard of BMC bicycles. Cadel Evans won the Tour in 2011 racing for BMC, and they have held a strong corner in the pro peloton for many years. Based in Switzerland, BMC also makes mountain bikes which are coveted in the Enduro mountain bike racing world.

While BMC has enjoyed a great reputation for high performance bicycle design in Europe, they haven't been well-represented in the US. In an effort to expand brand awareness in the United States, BMC has  launched a Brand Ambassador program. The grassroots program received applications from over 1,000 eager fans of the brand before selecting 13 people nationwide.

Our Portland store manager, Megan, was fortunate enough to be selected as one of these lucky 13. As a BMC Ambassador, she'll be planning events to expose performance-minded riders to BMC's line of products, including a demo truck visit sometime this summer, and leading Bike N Hike group rides.

In Megan's own words, riding bikes is...
“...the sanity in my daily commute, a benchmark for how I feel, and the best way I know how to fly. Bikes are the ideal way to get lost (and found). They are a gateway to friendship, functional art forms, and a great excuse to drink one more beer.”
